Hotspots!!

Hi, my pack peeps! I know it has been forever since you have heard from me, and we have been having some wonderful adventures to tell you about, but we are having issues with hotspots. You know that I am a smart boy but I am really confused about hotspots. In my experience, they are bad things, and sometimes when I try to take care of them myself by licking and chewing on them, I have to wear the dreaded cone until it is healed because it gets really yucky. Lately, my hoomans have been complaining that they don't have a hotspot. Isn't that a good thing? Of course, I don't see them wearing a big plastic satellite dish around their neck - ever!

I am sure we will get this resolved soon, and I will be back to telling you about all the fun adventures we have had, like when we were on the Maid of the Mist at Niagara and when we toured a coal mine in Pennsylvania! We were almost asked to leave a lecture on the women's rights movement because I kept interjecting my thoughts while the Park Ranger was talking. My hoomans needed a little time out when we were at the Great Lakes and visited Lucas Vineyard because they had a little more wine than they usually drink at the tasting. At least it was a beautiful location and day to sit outside as they became a little more sober. I was very disappointed in them when they tried to feed me those oyster crackers that they were eating between glasses of wine. It only took a quick sniff to know that an oyster hadn't even gotten close to that cracker, so who would want to eat it? Sometimes I wonder about my hoomans.

Until next time - tail wags and doggie kisses, Rownen out.

Rownen,

It's great to hear from you! But where are your pictures? Was it too wet to take Maid of the Mist photos and too dark to take coal mine photos? Good thing you were there to keep your hoomans in line with all the wine testing. What would they do without you? And to think they thought they could trick you with some oyster crackers. Ha! Hopefully better snacks for you next time. Keep the updates coming and better luck with those hotspots. Well, not yours but your hoomans.
