Hi yo my pack peeps! I know it has been a while but my hoomans had a little time out and that meant I did too. I tried to do this on my own but I could not remember the password to get on to the computer. I tried "cookies", "biscuits", and "whose a good boy" but none of those were correct. It is like they had a dog lock on their computer. I don't know why because I only ordered 6 big boxes of treats from Amazon just that one time and I promised I would not do it again... of course I was drooling on a treat at the time. I know you all were wondering if I stopped adventuring but lets just say I was sniffing new areas and taking naps which are two of my favorite things to do, at least when there are no treats handy. Lets get you caught up with our travels! We will pick up where we left off at Sycamore Lodge in Jackson Springs, NC.
One of our favorite Apps is Atlas Obscura. This has all the different and interesting things to see on the road. We found one! It is the biggest strawberry. Pretty big isn't it? I don't think it would be tasty but what they serve inside is very tasty! Lot's of ice cream that cools down your tummy on a hot day.
Excuse me lady. I know you saw that we were doing a photo shoot and photo bombing is not cool, unless I am doing it. I guess people can't help themselves when there is a celebrity around. She could have bought an ice cream for me but I'm sure she was star struck.
We visited a Native American Mound that was re-built and the park services are continuing to excavate and study. The best part was that I met 2 new friends.
It was time to head off to our new location at Club Lake in Gasburg, VA. We always use GPS to get us to our new location but it helps if you put in the correct address. My hoomans thought that they knew the address and they were wrong. We got lost on a very narrow winding road and we were running out of gas. Finally we found a road along a field that looked like we could make a U-turn thru the field because my hoomans have not learned to go backwards yet. I did remind them that they would not have had this little issue if they had listened to me when I strongly suggested that they double check the address. Well, lesson learned and that is what this adventure is all about. Because we stayed there for just 3 nights we only went to a mini train museum that was in the visitor's center. They had a couple trains set up and one of them had a flying saucer as part of their display because there was a sighting in the 1950's. All I could see was these trains on display because the moving ones on the tables were too high for me to see - even when I stood on my tippy toes.
Our next stop was at Presidential Wilderness Resort in Fredricksburg, VA. This is a big resort with mini golf, gem mining, pool, lake activities to name just a few of the things there. My hooman's sister came to visit for a few days which was fun. Because this resort is so big a lot of the people have golf carts to drive around in. One night we were sitting on the porch and a bunch of golf carts kept going past us on their way to the lake. They then would go back to the front and then come back by us again. As the evening went on the people seemed to be having more and more adult beverages as they were going around and were getting louder and having a great time. It was quite fun to watch. We met these two new friends who obviously knew greatness when they saw it because they wanted to be in a picture with me.
The next day we went into the town of Fredericksburg and rode a trolley. That was fun and had a lot of history about the town and the war. I'd tell you more about it but I stopped listening because I was not seeing any treats so I just tried to get comfortable and take a nap. This is the Trolley and the driver. Right before the picture was taken he said something about being a cat person. I had to look away.
The next day is when my hoomans had their little issue that slowed down our travels and my reporting to you. All is better now and they were able to spend a day in Washington DC but decided not to take me because it was very hot. They did see a really cool double decker bus that said "Tea around DC" where people were having tea and snacks as they toured the area in an air conditioned bus with SNACKS! Oh yeah, next time we are going to do that and I will be a happy boy!
Until next time - tail wags and doggie kisses, Rownen out.

Nice to meet you Rownen. I am going to enjoy following your adventures. I'm RB (short for Road Block). I am a rescue from Fuzzy Friends. I am an American mutt. My vet thinks I am an Auggie (part Australian Shepherd and Corgi). My hooman reads your blog to me. I think she wants me to learn how to make friends, like you. My hooman is friends with one of your biggest fans. I think I am jealous of your HFF (Hooman Favorite Fan). My hoomon likes to go on adventures with your HFF and I don't always get to go with them. I misbehave sometimes and my hooman doesn't trust me any more. Now I have to …
How absolutely inventive, funny, entertaining. A masterpiece. Love from your German follower.xxx
